cranked the torsions today. my frame is 5 1/2" from the ground. im pressing against my bump stops though. gonna trim them either tonight or tomorrow. planning on trimming the enormous u bolts tomorrow if the weather is decent. pics tomorrow, depending on the weather

test fitting showed me that i need 1" spacers


and remounted my spare tire. only temporary though

 

why do you need 1" spacers is the center bore not big enough on those wheels to fit over the front hub

 

hahaha...i cant even fit a beer bottle under my lisence plate. you fit it under your frame

 

Take a pick down the side rather than right at it so we can see too.

 

yeah. i put the wheel on and it was a little less than an inch away from flush. plus, 1" will put the outside of my tires where they are now. and on the rear, i can fit it flush but the rim is an 1 1/2" away from the frame. everything should fit very well though

got stuck on a curb last night thanks to my u bolts. trimmed them today. went to make sure everything was still tight and saw one of my washers were crushed. i had to grind the bolt straight so i could get the nut off. i stripped the threads when i put it back on though. hopefully i'll get a new one tomorrow.

got the u bolt on and im back on the road. my taxes should be in soon so i'll be getting my tires this month hopefully. i talked to my friends at the napa machine shop yesterday and i might be getting my 17's sand blasted so i can paint them flat black. does anyone know what year the full bumper (no plastic corners) came on?

so the superbowl was awesome! and i got some awesome news. somebody owed me a truck and i thought it was a lost cause because i havent heard from him since before christmas, but he just called me and said i could pick it up tomorrow. its like mine but tan, sunroof, a/c, still an SR5, and most importantly, it doesnt have a bent frame. i will be the clutch gear, engine, and tranny. let me know if you want anything
