Backyard repair. My hinge at the bottom of the pedal completely rotted away. Rather than try to find a replacement, I attached the pedal to a 6” T hinge. I simply drilled two holes in the pedal to match the factory holes in the hinge. Then added machine screws with nuts to hold everything together. Spray bombed new metal flat black. Attached hinge to the floor pan with sheet metal screws. Not factory beautiful, but works really well.
Nothing wrong with the one we have, i need the one from a 75-78.. we are changing the gas pedal and linkage set up in a 74 we are working on, we have all the linkage ,just not the pedal , the 74 pedal is only 8" Long and doesn't have the loop for the rod
My truck is a 72, this was the pedal that was in it when i got it, truck already had a 20R swapped in. DM me if you're interested
Negative. This was the one i took off my truck. I made a pedal to work with a cable rather than the linkage
If your pedal is completely detached from the floor pan (rusted off), you can use a black painted “T hinge” for a replacement pivot point. Screw short side to the floor pan and long side to the back of the accelerator pedal. You will need to drill two holes through the pedal itself and use machine screws and nuts to attach it to the hinge. Works great. Gives you time to find a factory replacement.
