    Hi everyone,
I’m looking to replace the old cast iron exhaust header on my 1979 Pickup with 20r motor - here’s the important part it’s a 2WD 4 Speed so the LCE stuff won’t fit (called and talked to an expert) Anyone had any luck with stuff on eBay or have one to sell? I’m not trying to race the little girl, just want to fix the exhaust leak and improve performance. Also not wanting to have to modify or bend anything other than length.

Appreciate any info or suggestions! (I’ll for sure be doubling up the gasket)

I did a flowtech shorty header on my 73. Pretty sure you have more room in between your frame rails so more then likely would fit good. They have many different finishes. Painted for about 150, raw stainless for about 200, and polished for about 250.

Got any pics of how it fits between the engine and frame? Considering getting that one

Its tight but it should fit. I think there may be a pic in my thread the first time you asked for one lol. Probably on the first page.

    Was your 73 a 2wd or 4wd ? They have different bolt patterns - 3 vs 1 on bottom

    2wd. It was a swapped 75 20r with w50. No 4wd in 73 without it being custom.

Thanks for the help Pearce. I don’t mean to be a bother. I’m super new (obviously) and just reading a millions threads and I’m getting mixed messages. The 20r with 2wd and 4 speed seems to be harder to find aftermarket parts for. I appreciate you, brother.

That's probably the best one for the money if you have a questions about fit. I think you'll have more then enough room. Flowtech is a holley brand so that's nice as well. Unlike random ebay brands.
