Because they "know what they have" hahaha. I'd guess it's for those freaking awesome floor mats! Where does one find those???

Thing about California smog is sure 65-75 is smog exempt, but if the cops a dick, he can still send you to ref. 65-75 are not tested, but are still required to have all factory smog components installed. Same goes for diesel title trucks like mine. With the wrong cop youre in trouble. Pre 65 vehicles are labeled as "uncontrolled" as before 1965 they didnt have any sort of regulations or smog equipment at all if any. Just an FYI lol California sucks.

    Anyone looking for a 4x4 setup for a 1978 it’s this truck. V-6 looks like a 4.3.
Parts alone are worth the price.

Someone here recently was looking for a 4x4 conversation for a 1978. This would be perfect. Forget the running and smog. Axles, transfer case, frame mounts can all be transferred to another chassis. It won’t last long at that price.

It not being able to pass smog is only a problem to Californians. That one might just go to a buyer from out of state if the guys near by can't get over the idea it won't pass smog.
