this whole photobucket this sucks. im A LOT of forum boards and there are so many lost images due to photobucket changing to a paid uploads. sometimes its hard to work on something with no picture for guidance.

i like to use imagebam for uploads. anyone else have good upload sites?

you can always upload them directly here to TM, I'm gonna start doing that now that Photobucket pulled their shenanigans

get an app that resizes photos to the file size you want, or fire up the PC and some free paint program

Its probably safest to upload your images to this site - no 3rd party service can shut down access (or change the URL) in the future.
HOWEVER - I just found there are a few Chrome browser plugins that will FIX the broken photobucket images for you. Suddenly all the old posts with images have come back to life for me!

Don't know how it works, but its working great for me.

I will vouch that this works for me. There's been a few old build threads I've been unable to go back to thanks to the PB issue, and today I think I will be binge-reading a few of them

I think the OP's real pain-point here (and is mine as well) is that there are so many older posts full of dead photobucket images, especially on build threads and DIYs. If that particular user is no longer active on the forum or doesn't have the original images or time/ability to re-upload them via imgur, then it makes for a fun time reading through a DIY with no visual guidance.

@Ainwarhol yes that’s correct. And the only solution to the problem as you describe it (posts that used PB to host images) is to use the browser plugin I mentioned above (or one like it). That will allow users to view images in posts that originally used PB to upload.

It’s actually a lifesaver for valuable posts whose images are otherwise unviewable.
