oh yeah? sounds nice, there was also an almond and vintage appliance white. I will check it out today. I'm also thinking of using the plastidip spray on the interior of the doors, dash parts, handles, lock nubs, and all those goodies. I'm not sure if it is a good idea or not, as I have never used plastidip, but it seems like some people swear by it, so I guess I will give it a try.
So even though I have already done my ball joint flip, I was reading through SD yota's write up on it. I had never thought of using spacers. I know that doing the flip, I had to flip my upper ball joint to keep camber down, does this mean if i add spacers to the bottom that I should do it to the top as well to keep the geometry right?
Heres a pic if the color. I had used it on my old truck before i had to junk it Honestly i dont recommend using plastidip on any interior pieces that will see any kind touching. My buddy tried it and the dip rubbed off over time
OOh, that does look good. It is o hard to pair anything with the chrome front end. Thanks for the word on plastidip!
Well the weather report is for rain for the next 2 weeks. I guess painting won't be getting done. So while the morning sun shines, so does Betsy
Well this is something I have been thinking about for a while, and I decided that I would just go for it. Dual round headlight:
I wondered what r model would look like with dual round headlights. I kinda like it. U planning to clean up the grill if u keep them?
I'm looking to get some bezels to fit the lights, and maybe doing something like a billet between them. I think it is cool, but I don't know how I actually feel about it. I am thinking of going with clear corner lights, maybe even just painting over them in white.
It got late on me yesterday and the sun went down fast, but here is a better shot: notice the three colors HAHA, painting that door today, hopefully cab on thursday! golly I hope it stays sunny
i like the 4 lites, just not sure im digggn the center grill. hmm, maybe with a bar grill or billet center or a full fantom grill....cool look tho.
Grille definitely needs to be changed, but I'm not sure what to do short of fabbing up a complete new one. Painted the passenger door and cab the other day. Today I put in some 3 inch drop blocks and replaced the leaf I removed a while back. The rear sits a bit higher, so I guess that shows you that dropping a leaf drops more than an inch of height! but I've got some heavy equipment I have to move some heavy equipment and want all the springs I got.
Engine ended up needing a rebuild after i had just put $ into swapping the head gaskets/water pump/Timing belt(3VZE). And at the time i was unemployed so junking it and getting some $ out if it seemed like the best idea. Kinda regret it now
Well, I got her back tires to tuck real nice this morning. Oh yeah, looking real nice But the ride is sluggish and super slow because... I haven't installed lower blocks.... I didn't get new springs....... I didn't take any out..... I JUST PARTIED!!!!!!!!
Got around to painting the bed. While the rear wheels were off I painted them. I'm a fan of not having that little piece of black trim in font of the rear wheel well
Did a spray job of bed liner. it came out a little jenky, but it is better than what was there before! I am currently looking into fonts for a new "Toyota" on the back end Next plans for the front are new grille, new corners, and possibly going back to the 2wd valance. I put some spacers between my BJ and control arm, and flipped my uppers with some spacers as well, but I am not sure it really did much. I do have the sway-a-way torsion bars, so I might loosen them a little more, but might wait until I go through and replace my bushings so I don't end up doing more allignments than I need.
Been looking for a new set of wheels lately, and I was playing around with some photos the other day, so here is what I'm thinking: they are American Racing VN501 in matte black. they have a 0 offset in the 15x7. Also think I found a font for the tailgate:
