These suspension parts are off a 1991 Toyota Pick-up two wheel drive, V6, five speed that was set-up to run in the 1991 One Lap Around America event. Fifty Dollars plus packing and shipping.
It's been a long time ago, but I think these spindles lower the front of the truck about two inches. The original box says they came from Superior Spindles, Pismo Beach, CA. The original system came from the Ground Control company in northern CA.
will those drop spindles crap out on me? What's the life span on a drop spindle anyways? What is the big "U" shaped thingy? Anyone here know?
I cant comment on the life of the spindles, but are u referring to the blue u shape thing? if so thats a sway bar..
as long as ur bearing are good the spindles will be fine i haven't had to replace spindles on any of my trucks
The Front and Rear sway Bar where aftermarket. The Front Sway Bar went with the truck when I sold it! This suspension system is not complete. You will need some bits and pieces to complete it, but when it was complete it sure made the truck fun to drive.
So if I put drop spindles in front and have 3" block in back. what shocks should I get. I've been looking at Bilstein HD or KYB Monomax or Tokico Trekmasters. What does everyone suggest? Is there any better quality shocks out there. I'm also adding Power steering and an extra leaf in the back. The leaf is for bigger payload since I haul the stunt bike. When I hit big dips the rear bottoms out and my tires hit the fender. I got some ****y Gabriel shocks on right now. I'm also getting a new tranny and short shifter. Do a steering damper help with anything? I was also thinking of pickup one. Ohh, also some new drilled/slotted rotors.
I've never heard of Belltech Drop shocks. I see they make a street performance brand. Does anyone know which is better? Belltech SP or Bilstein HD Obvious difference is the height. What about performance and quality.
u shouldnt have to add an extra leaf in the back to tow ur bike man..i just lower mine with 2/3 drop. i will be transporting my buell. i will let you know how it goes...
