2.25 from the headers back has been proven to be the ideal setup. Any larger than that sacrifices low end torque.

so I have had 3 trucks to fuel cut off... all hit about 112...
    91 xtracab 4wd 3vze
    93 2wd 22re
    08 fj cruiser

they all cut fuel on me about 112 or so, I try not to stare at the speedo when I am going that fast.

I have driven all of them consistently at 75-90 mph on daily 100+ mile commutes in one of the most dense traffic areas in the US... NJ!
I drive on the edge pretty regularly and even tho I have not driven one of my pickups in months... I remember well how good they were at flying down the road... but now I see the one thing I always missed and now I can never go back...

    Torque!!! God loving wonderful torque...
    2006 GTO 400hp, 396 ft lbs torque
    2008 FJ 245h, 278 ft lbs torque
I am saving for the FJ SC which will add some umph!
    304 hp, 339 ft lbs

    So guys help me out!!!
    SOMEONE buy my trucks!!!
    LOL !!!
I need the cash for my new project...

    I've got a 93 2wd 22re and an 87 4wd 22rte... yes a turbo...

Still miss all my trucks... ahh moving on... so help me out and buy a truck... or some parts... got plenty of them left too including a 84 4wd with no title and frame rot... great parts for a SAS
I got three sets of bucket seats including a pair JDM sport buckets with the lumbar on the pass side
I got a center console with heat from a 4runner
    got a 4runner grille hl + bumper/valance
    dash pieces
    how about a set of 215 65 15 studded snow tires on 40mm offset rims with a 5x4.5 and 5x4.25??? I think
I have 6 aluminum wheel spacers
    4 2inch 2 1.5 inch...

Need to sell now especially if NOBAMA gets into office...
since there will only be one social class left in the US...
    Poor... we'll all be poor...

my 88 will do 110mph no problem as far as i know its a stock 22r (carb) no govenor, standard 4-speed, when we rev motors next to my friends 93 EFI you can hear the electronic control kick in, my carb keeps turning it out until it blows, only mods are smaller tires on stock rims and 2.5" cherry bomb,

Thanks for the info MTB. They look promising, but the color would clash with my interior. I'll have to pass, but good luck with future sales.

Word... you know how i hit 95mph??? and i was on WOT????

wellllll.......... i checked my throttle cable linkage and it had slack... i was probably somewhere in teh 90's% full throttle. got that fixed

anyways i pulled spark wires while engine was running, had tingly sensations, but the engine ran great. pulled 2, and 3 and engine shook but still ran. gunna try running on 1 some time lol

Not a good idea... vibration will do all sorts of harm to your engine.

After reading this I got to wondering. I did my brakes last week and just got an alignment. I pulled this with a stock 92 2wd, 230,000 on the odo. with 300 lbs of **** in the bed. Got up there pretty quick too, and she was still pulling. I would like to run the 1/4 with headers, intake, and posi. might be surprised.

Oh, and my tires are 3/4 onb inch taller than stock. Whatever that equates to. I made that pull in 5th gear from 75mph.

I have the exact same pair in my garage but I think my lumbar adjustment is on the right side of the seat.
