Not to sure about Efi motors might be messing more up than fixing . Oem carbs a few but switching to a weber is getting the whole job done with just one vacuum line needed u clean up a whole lot of mess in one swipe

I know a few on here have done the delete on their trucks Im certain there is about 3 different threads about it for the EFI 22re. Just make sure your emmissions testing standards dont call for those items to be present, it might still pass smog but fail visual inspection

that helps out a lot. ive also seen where some guys loop the vac line on the advance, does this just lock the timing to a certain degree? any benifit to doing that on a stock carb/cam/head?

Yea no vac hooked u won't have any vacuum advance but still have some centrifugal/maechanical advance I prefer to have use the vac port closest to the radiator I think u get anywhere from 8 to 16 degrees of advance on that port .and the one closest to the motor gives u 5 to 8 . As far as advantages to having them hooked up its an iffy to some folks but I prefer my timing to advance as the combustion process speeds up its a common procedure for modern four stroke motors efficiency
