What's up, I just picked up this lil 93 toyota 2wd for a mini project. It needs a lil TLC to fit my standards.

    -22RE
    -W55/5 speed
    -165k

I would like to lower the front 2-3" and the rear 2-3" and stuff some 18's under the truck for now, I was talking with my buddy tonight and he said he can hook me up with a good paint job for a Good Discounted rate:D flat black with clear coat or Metallic cherry with clear.

This is the how it sits now, Stock on some 14's lol

Its all good, I like the Height of your toy IBESEEN. Not sure if id be able to run 18's being that low. Does it have 3" blocks in the rear?

I am gonna do a little body work in the mornin, Minor surface rust on the bed. I need to buy some filler and fill a decent size dent on the other side after i do my best to pop it.

Once i get all the rust off the bed and pull the misc dents, Ill sand the whole truck and have my buddy paint it on a fri or sat night. But paints gonna be a couple 2-3 weeks i am sure. Have to pay bills 1st.

... use to have no dents in the bed really to speak of till last Tuesday with the ice backed into my spot at work and slid into the pole >< im just glad i didn't bust my taillight

stands a wee taller than my truck.

well my truck doesnt have that much lowering at all

for the front, what you can now do is do a spindle mount flip. this is where the a arms mount against the control knuckle/spindle or aka "ball joint flip"

i rather give it the accurate name, spindle mount flip...

if you pull your front wheel off and examine your front setup, you'll see the upper A arm sits above the knuckle (mount wise). well what you will do is unbolt that and put the knuckle mount on top of the a arm mount.

BUT to do this you'll need TWO jack's. one under the bottom a arm, and one under the frame right under the door.

place both of them there before you begin.

    remove wheel

then raise up the jack on the frame side (have the wheel under the body just to be safe

as you will see IF you do this, one jack will be under the bottom a arm, this you will control position of the setup you are working on...

well lift up the frame jack and see how far you can safely go then slowly lower the a arm jack. this way you can let the setup "rest". then remove the bolts connecting the upper a arm to the knuckle mount. be careful. carefully place the knuckle mount above the a arm's mount. then reinstall bolts.

as you will see we are making the wheel's mount above the vehicle's front suspension setup. basically lowering it without disturbing the suspension's travel. then the tricky part comes. you will have to do the same for the bottom a arm. just need bigger sockets and you will need to remove that one bar before you can remove the knuckle mount's bolts

hope this helps, when weather permits i can probably shoot a vid and detail to you what i have done and hope itll help you.

    God bless, and safe trucking!
