My son rearended a Mustang and smashed the front end of my 93 2wd pickup. Looks like I need at least a new chrome bumper and grill. I searched around here and just looking for options- can I use a 4x4 or 4runner bumper without any issues or do I need to find a 2wd truck. Seems like 4runners are everywhere but no trucks.
You can use the 4runner but you will need the bumper to fender brackets and it will be alittle wider but can work.
Im in tampa and I have a good bumper for you but its not chrome. if your interested let me know. I have the factory 2wd bumper and valance, and a 1 piece molded poly bumper.
Thanks V8_TITAN- I'll let you know. I might just do a 4runner front end swap- I know a guy at a yard that has a 90 and I'm sure he will give me a good price. Do I still need the core support if the 4runner is a 90-91? The headlight should be the same and I just got the Hella looking good.
no you dont need the core support. only thing you may need (im not sure) is the bumper brackets, not the main 2, but the ones on the sides that go near the fenders.
Found a nice bumper but it is missing the valance. I can get it for $20 Will any 89-95 4runner valance work or do I need a 90-91 only? Is this the bracket that I will need to get?
yeah you will need that bracket. your bumper will sag.... im assuming you said that because that one wont work.
