Was looking through some old pictures and started to miss all my old yotas i used to have...... so many memories..... so many great trucks. a legacy on their own. my recent 87 4Runner....... cleanest 4Runner in San Diego and possibly the fastest my 85 crawler..... thing was a beast!!
Sweetness X's 2 man. I get headaches at that level thou anymore LOL. Seriously thou - Hella nice . . .
my 04 Tacoma 4x4.... that thing was awesome! my 84 Longbed..... wish i would have never sold that one among the most!!
you know it man..... i cant even begin to try and remember how it felt driving that high off the ground..... i swear i get weirded out riding in stock 2wd trucks
You and me both, My airride 87' scared the hell outta me the first week or so I drove it, because I can literally drag my frame. My 84' had a 6" lift with 31 - 10.50's - So I know what u mean totally . . . Hella nice rides man, I too miss my 84' but LOVE my 87' and 75 just the same right now . . .
Wow, nice. All of them, very nice. It's great that you've had a long history with these trucks. I'm such a late bloomer when it comes to Toyota. Which is strange when you factor in that I have a step-father who has worked at the NUMMI plant since the place opened it's doors (to Toyota - previously a GM plant). Almost every relative I have has owned a Toyota something or another, yet there I was going through my Euro phase. I even went through a Chevy phase! But, I guess better late than never. Someday I'd like to be able to proudly post as many trucks as you have....only...I hope I'm able to keep all mine. Thanks for sharing the flicks!
i have just began... anyway, in my truck's point of view... soo i came from Japan.. yay 1st owner! not too many miles... hmm i think he hates... me.. why am i on a dealership lot?!?!?!?nooo!! hey look at this guy! buy me!.... sigh.. :wakes up: whoa, where am i going?? wait, NEW OWNER!! hmm they drive me everywhere! WHAT THE %^#?!?!! What's all this dirt in my bed?! ehp, two lawnmowers huh? ah ice! TOW HOOK! some some some more years later of DD to work then whoa, who's this kid.. oh his son WAIT HE'S DRIVING ME!! word i just drifted, JDM tyte brotha 3 more years... not too long ago... this week he took me to fuel cut!!! sooo he changed my intake and ****, damn.... =]
lol thanks you guys, i'm always wondering how my truck feels whenever i drive it. most of the time it was driven wayy too softly, unless it was filled with dirt and bricks in the bed.. let's include another day of the truck's POV, about a few weeks back haha, he's cleaning out my intake manifold. seriously he's tinkered with me too much, uncomfortable i tell ya! oh i tell you what, i think when he drops that 12mm socket into the engine bay, imma get it lost in there, mwuahahaha. wait for it... wait for it.... AND YES!! HE DROPS IT!!oh ****... i lost it too... uh oh... anyway, i still havent found that socket!
tehehehe for all the **** he put me through, he tried to do a burnout once again. this time instead of letting him do it, i kinda let a lil slip go out but then once my tire spun i let my rear drums drag on a bit. HAHAHA that totally stopped the burnout, this is soo fun messing with this kid. well i let the drum shoe slip in and out a few times, causing the whole truck to bounce up and down as that happen. it was like squeak squeak squeak, then i heard him say "ah fawk it" and he quitted. so i guess that was what i did to prevent him from doing a burnout. then he drove up and parked me next to teh curb, where its smooth... but then oh wait, smooth huh? this right side has less grip! ooh okay you lil sneaky bastard, tryna plant a burnout now huh? well im tired of this so i just had my drums tight to prevent him from going anywhere. haha whatta loser!
I don't have any pics, but my first Yota was a '93 Pickup like the one I have now just Midnight Blue. A '76 Celica GT Liftback, I miss that one. Then the one I have now.
Lol first cinnammon thats was funny as hell! Yeah my first, current, and only yota truck started its life like most others in Japan. Then it was put on a boat and brought to Honolulu Hawaii. From there it was bough by a lady named Lucy who worked for a big computer company. She was transferred from Hawaii to Canada and the company paid to have her truck put in a container and brought to the mainland then all the way up to Canada! Where she came to a local shop to get her work done, and after many years she decided to sell it. And i snapped it up first chance i got! And i have had it for the last 2.5 years. I am the seconf owner of my 93.
HOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYY SHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIRST HE TAKES ME TO A EMPTY AND LONG AN' STRAIGHT BACK ROAD! THEN HE GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN TO MAKE SURE ITS ALL CLEAR THEN HE FREAKING TAKES ME TO 100 MPH!!!!!! TOO BAD MY FAT EXTRACAB PREVENTS ME FROM RUNNING ANY FASTER THAN 101.87MPH!! lucky bastard finally got the burnouts down, i kinda stopped a few but he got a short skidmark on the road... mofo.... well he's gunna have to pay for new shoes! HAHA! well he was taking a friend home and was talking about his 2JZ swap... ****.. this kid scares the crap outta me... motor from my Supra girlfriend? holy **** idk how fast imma go... other than that he was taking me slow down the backroad and HOLY **** A DEER! so he got ont eh brakes a lil to slow down and let it pass... stupid ass boy he couldve just went full speed and HIT IT! wait, no good for me either! well good night!
you must be very proud, do you have any pics of the truck when you got it and stuff? is there a thread?
i miss my first toyota 85 celica GT recovered rolling methlab gutted interior and pressure washed with junkyard seats drove the piss out of this thing, and it never blinked the motor from it is still running to this day. i kinda miss my 76 dart, and i miss my 77 pacer. i miss alot of em. but mostly i dont miss a vehicle but i miss the soul of one... see i bought this for $700 still got "it" or the frame and axl's, tran n t-case. but the original body panels had charicter, i still have the original hood and its on the truck always has been and nobodys been hurt. but the rest of the body is gone and i miss it alot.
ShoNuff - nice set of wheels you had! Lil' Red- well we were just going for a cruise one night. It was all good you know? well we were on a nice roll THEN DAMN **** MY FOOT hurts! figures that i had a nail in my shoe for a while and it finally came off totally letting the air out. sigh.... well Nam put on the 14yo spare tire... figures i carry a bit of junk with me that finallly came useful... cept i dont trust teh 14yo tire to hold long!!! so him and his friends got me back on the road. next mornin he patched my shoe right up. tucked it under my bed again. after monday mass he drove me around town looking for tires. we finally landed at Sam's club. they are the only people in town carrying the 205/75/R14 Goodyear Allegra's. he'll replace the spare and punctured tire later.. for a lil over $120.. im kinda sad Nam isnt employed but he's willing to keep me going. wow! his dad took away his computer recently, he was furious. i can hear it outside the house... well he's chillling and im outside.. btw this morning in school it began to snow and storm. **** i was sitting out there! well 1 spare drive tire means once he slowly drove we did a 180 spin.... now that.. was scary... so he got his mind straight and damn each corner was a slide.... he kinda stopped haha! well back to the tires, the left rear drive tire (good) will go into the spare compartment, the two front tires (good) will be sent to rear axle, then the spare and damaged tire gets replaced with new tires, and those will go up front! perfect setup. well we'll plan to keep the two old tires as weights and put them in the bed because the roads are ICED!!!
