I was playing on youtube and saw this video and was wondering if these truck where available over here. YouTube - Lexus v8 Burnout and pass. Meremere cuz i would do the same swap this guy did
Not technically available but I drive by one every week in Klamath Falls OR. I guess it's the owner of a wrecking yards kid he's had it forever and won't sell it. It's painted Kawasaki green and lifted looks pretty nice from the highway.
Not sure on south of the border, I have a buddy in Iceland that offered to give me a body but it'd be $1500 just to get it to a dock in Seattle. I'll build one before I spend that kinda scratch.
From what I've read you can't bring a non us car to the US because most of the time they won't meet the EPA standards. Only thing you'd be able to import would be the cab. No motor no lights nothin like tht just the cab
When I looked into it the only real hiccup was licensing the vin. I'd either swap them around or do a backhalf on the US cab. The lights etc aren't an issue really.
i want to build one so damn bad it drives me insane that i cant just go but a body, one day i will have one tho
Yeah that would be awesome then bob the front of the stock bed and it should look pretty good. I would keep the tacoma interior though.
Here's a bagged 4 dr from Australia....I want one REALLY bad! MT article... Custom 1993 Toyota Crew Cab - Feature Truck - Mini Truckin' Magazine
I don't like how short the beds are on them. But there's a guy on mazdabscene tht imported a cab. He found one in NZ or aussieland paid for it then had a guy crate it up an take it to the docks for shipping. He paid the guy tht helped him to I believe
Some guy on ToyotaNation had the 4dr cab on his 4wD and used the standard short bed. I wanna see a regular cab with the 4dr shortie bed
