Ok so I've seen some people using 20R heads on a 22R block...Is this better for racing because of combustion or something else? If anyone has a link to a document that explains this practice I would be greatful!

Also: I was thinking of running 2 1/2" exhaust all the way, but LCE's header is a 2 1/4" output. Will that hurt the exhaust at all with the two different sizes?

the 20r basicly had better flowing ports, the 20r being a 2.2L engine and the 22r being a 2.4L engine with the 20r head you have a smaller combustion chamber, more air squeezed into a smaller space means a more "bigger bang" the 20r intake manifold is also better flowing then the 22r. but with that higher compression ratio, a higher octane fuel will be needed. only a early style 22r block and timing components can be used because the 20r motor uses a dual row timing chain.
