i put it in my hilux. it's custom suspension, but is all based on the 84-88 toyota frontend. it works perfect with no noticable toe change through out the travel, but has to be custom mounted including the steering linkage itself. it's a flaming river unit, 71/72 ford pinto, narrowed 5" by flaming river, cost about $360, not including the heims to make it mate to the spindle.
my stock hilux steering had a rag joint at the firewall since it had rear steering so it's a little different. but you can cut the stock shaft a little out of the firewall, and add a universal joint like this. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Sweet-Mfg-Steering-U-Joints,2031.html part # 91032234 then use a piece of 3/4" cold rolled steel stock and weld this on the other end http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Steering-U-Joints-9-16-26-Spline-Mustang-II-Manual,31385.html i'm using mk3 supra spindles so i drilled them out to 1/2", and used these heims: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Male-LH-Rod-End-With-Studs,24259.html part # 1750325 i made some custom adjusters using some 3/4"x.156" 4130 chromoly tubing from www.aircraftspruce.com i tapped them with rh thread on one end, and lh thread on the other so that they adjust just like a stock unit. here is the couple pics i actually have of the steering linkage you can see the plate that bolts to the firewall to see where the first joint would go column installed the steering is incredible smooth with no play at all. it's very involved work to make it work, but not too hard.
oh and i completely removed the shaft from the column to weld on the first universal. and my firewall universal is actually out of a 5.0 mustang. i didn't know i could buy weld on universals until i had already used the mustang universal lol

I'm not sure what cycled it fully means, but you get 2 full turns in each direction. Turning radius is about the same as stock. I've done 2 kits now on trucks with 2" drop spindles and slightly relaxed torsion bars and that seems to be about the limit as far as not having bump steer. Any lower and you'd have to get a bump steer kit for a Mustang 2 and probably drill and flip your tie rods to the bottom. I've been running mine for about 3 months and I can say it's a significant improvement in overall feel and response. You can also drive down the highway at 80 with one finger on the wheel and it won't try to change lanes when you catch a groove. I've gone pretty hard in the mountains, hit many turns at speed and haven't experienced any bumpsteer yet. The tie rod pivot angles are about identical to the Toyota. You do have to narrow the inner tie rods by 2 inches so the overall width is 46". Here's a video:
I'm from Concord, live in Oregon now. Coming back for a visit in 2 weeks, would be interesting in checking this out. I've got a sbf swap, I wonder if this would fit. Looks like the shaft angle would run into my headers.

If there was a way I could have this, and the Corolla or Yaris EPS, I'd be such a happy critter. I'm glad you made this.
Thank you! I thought about it, actually tried for weeks to get a Yaris rack to work but there were way too many variables. I don't see why you couldn't use a Mustang power rack though and then just source a few fittings and hoses to make it work with the Toyota pump. I made the Lexus power steering stuff work on my wife's 2JZ swapped Celica by using a 3.0 pickup pressure line. It wasn't too bad. Maybe that'll be my next objective.
I've got a turbo that takes up more room than the stock 22re manifold, would that cause clearance issues with the new steering shaft on your setup?
