Manual steering to Power

    How hard is it to swap to power steering what all will i need??

    you will need a power steering pump, and the gear box which is over 300 at advance. If you want you can have mine if you mail me your non power steering and pay shipping, other then that its free

    Very simple. Everything is bolt in deal except 4 holes that you need to drill in the wheel well for the p/s reservoir. You will need a gearbox, both hoses, p/s pump and bracket, belt tensioner and p/s pulley on the crank and of course a belt. It would be cheaper to get it at the junkyard.

    Do ya need to change over the rack at all???

    do u mean the center drag link and tie rods? if so no..just the gear box. then add the power steering unit..

    He may mean rack as in rack & pinion (steering), which the original poster doesn't have

    yep i know he doesnt have it..i was just wantin to make sure he understood that. To let him know he has a center drag link and tie rods (inner and outers) not a rack and pinion....

    Last night I installed the bolt on pulley to the crank and my power steering pump bracket. I'll finish my conversion some time this weekend.
