i was thinking about getting a set of belltech lowering springs...would it be worth the money to get them. What benefits would i get as in handling and ride. or should i just throw some more blocks in. any opinions/info?
I ran 'em for almost two years and didn't have any complaints. They helped handling by controlling body roll and stiffened up the ride just a bit.
They work well, I had them on a S10 Blazer.... Just belltechs kinda kill hauling on a daily truck, Kind of the reason Ive stayed away from them on my Daily Silverado (I tow with it) And they are also hella expensive imo For the amount of money you spend on a good drop kit for a Yota, it could be bagged
the drop leafs will be nice if you have the funds to buy them. blocks can lead to axle hop, but that's not super important on a 116 h.p. minitruck lol if you plan on keeping it static i'd say do the leafs, if you think bags will be in the future i'd do blocks since they are cheap. i had 5" blocks on my dime, got them from AIM with new u bolts for $36 and never had a problem with em.
awesome thanks guys. yeah i dont have the knowledge to do bags, im only 17. also theres not alot of people around my area that know bags, plus i kind of want to keep it static...you know. haha
I have the belltech leafs on my 92 and I love it. The ride is alittle stiff but I don't haul anything. The truck rides and handles great. Up front I have belltech drop spindals and the combo is great. I know the coin is a lot butif static is your plan then spend it on quality parts.
if you wanna keep it static, go for it. its easy. I'm pretty sure I could get my 12 year old brother to turn the wrenches too. As for bagging, if you got the will and determination to do it, do it. I honestly don't really give a **** where I'm going. I'll eventually have coilovers and IRS, sooooooo that'll be much later. Happy truckin'!
^ I know Da Roach's truck! It looks nice at its static height! No doubt! But if youve even considered baggin it, Its all about searching forums, doin research and knockin it out, 17 or not, you can do it with enough research and time
yeah im only 17 too... http://www.toyotaminis.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/838/ppuser/2164 so far what i have..over winter im slamming it more...so the tires tuck :]...similiar to how cinnamons truck is....belltech componenents...doing some stuff for handling...sway bars. and engine stuff headers exhaust. next summer it should be lookingg niceee.
Im 31 & only static dropped leave kid alone. lol jk. Actually with wife n kids cant afford tp be bagged.
Just gotta enjoy what you have now Definitely not in it's current form. 22RE+Auto+opendiff+longwheelbase = notdriftfriendly vehicle. She'll eventually get a point in her life where she'll do what I want her to do. Kinda like a love-love relationship.
now i have a question, wheres the cheapest place to get the beltech leafs at? every time i think a found a deal there not in a set i'd pay more -_-
