well I bought a set of these a week or so ago, havent thought about putting them on till today... anyways.. my truck is getting bagged in the near future.... can someone tell me the goods and bads about having the spindles while being bagged ?
yes, that and with the spindles you wont have the extreme camber look ( unless you like that . . . ), think of it as |---| instead of /---\ . . . Ive never had a truck with drop spindles so I cannot comment, but I sure dont regret them being on as I can drive really low and save some tires at the same time, not to mention, it lays out well . . .
I love neg camber when layed out.. tire wear doesnt concern me because I get tires realllyy cheap.. just as long as its safe to drive like that... ill go ahead and put them on though.. and im going to put new brakes and ball joints while im at it.
it won't hurt anything having the spindles, if you use a bolt on bracket not having them may prevent them from laying out. it really depends on your tire size. if you want to run a big rim you will want to have them. on my yota, with 225/45/18 the truck would not lay out by an inch, and that is with flipped ball joints. dropped spindles would move the tire up and let the frame lay out. they shouldn't affect the neg. camber look while laid out too much. it will still lean in and look awesome.
ok well I started today but it got too dark, too quick... I have a 215 35 18 tire. with ball joints flipped and the spindles I should be able to lay frame with your brackets right ? Ill finish putting them on tomorrow.. the damn dust sheild wont come off.. pb blaster did nothing...
they are nankang. they are knock off brands im pretty sure but bro ive put on like 5000 miles, alot of rough driving, couple burn outs and they look like new.. i pay like 60 at a friends shop.
EDIT- here these are what I run, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-NE...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories shop through his ebay store, I can pick them up for you and ship to you probably a lot cheap then he can
dang, i was looking into hankook ventus hrII, i have ran them on my mustang for years and love them. they are $150 for 215/35/18. i will have to keep the tires you showed me in mind. my brother finally got a job, so he can start adding some funds to the project.
are these what your looking for ?? if so its 175 for 2 of them http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-or...62QQcategoryZ66476QQihZ002QQitemZ120351868949
those are similiar, the tread pattern is slightly different then what i have, but no biggie, does your source sell those or is it somebody else.
that is the guy I buy them from. those are his prices. IF you buy through him I can pick them up for you and ship to you, and probably save you a few bucks.
jezzz these are freagin hard to put on.... well not really but ive been at it for hours... got the passenger side done... drives side is almost done, just cant get the lower ball joint or tie rod end to pop off.. got a muscle friend coming over to finish it for me but damm is it loowwww....
The problem with negative chamber that isn't discussed much,is the more times the suspension cycles through, the more times the ball joints get stressed. Failure will occur faster than with the use of the dropped spindles!
