So I'm running into some issues with buying 3" lowering leaf springs for my truck. Its a 93 std cab 2wd with a 4cyl. The VIN says it was manufactured in Japan. I am told that the springs will not work on my truck and that they will only fit on a U.S. model. As far as I know, this truck was sold brand new in the U.S. and has spent its entire life in the U.S. I live in Oregon. I'm wanting to slam this thing...
    FRONT
    2" spindle
    3" LCA

    REAR
    3" lowered leaf springs
    4" blocks
    "c" notch

Has anyone ever had any issues with these springs not fitting their truck?

Thanks for the reply. It was weird to have them tell me it wouldn't fit. Very strange. I found some on E-bay from Street Edge, I'm gonna give them a shot. I will call and talk to them today and get them ordered. Thanks again.

If your VIN starts with J, its a Japan import But no, they are the same, whoever told you that is an idiot.

My trucks VIN starts 4TARN..made in California. Has the stupid egr temp sensor for cali emssions...

Thanks, my VIN does start with a J. I'm glad it does seeing how it's a Japanese truck, it should be made in Japan. :) You have a really nice truck Xs5875, I'm gonna cruise through your build thread for inspiration.

I know mine's an 85, but it's also a J code on the VIN and the only issue I had with the belltechs is they come with the urethane bushing. The front connection was fine, but in the rear where the shackle is, the urethane bushing was narrower than the rubber bushing in the shackle. I fixed this by putting some washers in there. Need to order the other bushings and I'd be fine.

Here's a pic of my 85 with spindles lca's bj flip in front and 3" leafs and 4 3/4 inch blocks in the rear. Yes, I notched the frame.

Ok, glad to hear about the bushings being the only problem. I think I can handle that. Thanks everyone. I plan on doing a build thread. It won't be as sweet as yours Xs5875. Thanks again.

I bought some before the winter and they are actually belltechs! They have the exact part number painted on them. Fit perfect.
