So here are some pictures after promising them for a LONG LONG time. Sorry there is so few and not much variety. My camera would not work so my gf snapped some quick pics for me while I was out. I will get some of the interior and the subwoofer mini project I was doing in the other thread. Enjoy and feel free to critique or give advice. I just slapped on the X-runner stock wheels and tires the other day. Bolt pattern is the same but I had to bore out the center bore. No spacers on right now. Slight rub when I lock wheel to the extreme left... other than that everything fits minus the front caps. May put 1/4" or 1/2" spacers to eliminate the minor rub + will enable me to get the front caps on as well. Debating on whether to static drop or not at this point... if I do it will happen with paint either ending of this year or beginning of next year. Edit: Sorry pictures are so large. Enjoy
So far what I have done to the truck was 4x4 fenders off a runner (shaved antenna), installed security system + minor sound system, tinted, cleaned up interior a bit, mounted 10" sub in larger of the 2 storage compartments, removed pipe rack/tool box combo that was in back and plugged nasty drilled holes in bed. Slapped on X-runner rims. I wish I got pictures from when I first bought this truck this past december... but I guess this is a better starting picture than none.
Looks good! Can't wait to see the sub enclosure! The way I look at it is, do the static drop. If you don't like, you can change it back. If you bag it, there's no goin back.
Ho your truck is cherry. Clean and no rust. Thats the original paint? You should drop it. 3" and you be tucking small kind. Good job.
you make me jealous.. Fawk, i've been here longer than he has too! nice, but who's grille looks sexier? lol find a 92+ grille, and get 4WD bumper if you wish. it'll look good
@ Oahu Grown - No more rust really. Some surface popping up on the roof I gotta hammer and had some small kine in passenger side A pillar. I opened it up with a grinder and it went through so I just plugged it back up with epoxy. So I know in the A pillar has... but as far as what you see on the outside of the truck... nothing more than some surface. It's original paint. Don't look as clean as the picture when you get up close... can see faded pinstripe I removed and some scratches dings. Over all pretty clean for year though. Looking at 3" drop but don't know what kind of clearance I would have etc... tires are real close to being under the lip of fenders and don't know if I'd want to roll them out. @ CinNAMmon - Yeah I would like to put on a 92 grill and 4x4 bumper... as well as change my back bumper that is tweaked... but I probably won't do that till later if something for cheap pops up. @ Toyo Trucker - Since I had the truck all I did was change the power steering hose... I got the truck for cheap because originally was supposed to have something wrong with it but turned out minor. Not sure what it is though just what I was told. I will take some pictures of the engine compartment and the interior when I get around to it later. Thanks for all the props
No big deal. I'm sure the front end will turn out the way you like it! As for the rear bumper, is it rusted and bent? well.. mine was and i ripped(took) it off. As for cheap stuff, i'm on the same boat as you, gunna wait. No rush! oh yeah, if you get close to mine, my bed has those scratches too.
Yeah maybe I will start checking those cruises out when I have a drop and some paint... kinda shame going there stock with no paint. At least primer the whole thing As for the bumper... if you look closely in the picture from the back you can see a dent in the lower left corner. either someone hit the old owner or he backed into something so the bumper twisted and hit the bed. He pulled it out and painted the damage but still got the dent and the bumper twisted.
Nah no be shame, i go, my paint fading and i dropped on steelies, but no matter to me. Looking good though. Maybe i start my own thread later
my bed almost ended up like yours.... sadly my dad wanted to pull a stump by roping it to the rear bumper... the rusted rear bumper... so it bent and almost f#cked my bed up. so i stopped him and tied it to the frame and then pulled out a stump
