I see everyone else with a build page, figured I'd jump on the band wagon, .
Here is what she looked like when I bought her in May '08.


If you look closely, you can see the stupid 6x9 boxes by the seat. The person I bought it from had 'em behind the seat, but they wouldn't fit with my big ars. That head unit is no longer in it, I put it in my fiance's car.

 

I then added a different head unit & door speakers. Also a factory clock & cup holders, it didn't have either when I bought it. A 4Runner pocket as well.

 

Removed the rear bumper.

Found bucket seats at a junk yard for $70 out of a '92 4Runner.

Next, found some 4wd fenders for $100 off a '91 on craigslist.

 

Just installed a 4wd front end.

did u need any other mods besides the fenders themselves to bolt on? im lookin to do the same thing to my 90 but i want to get the stuff i needed at the same time so im not stuck with a fenderless truck

 

fenders bolt right on no problem.

Thanks everyone. Got a long way to go, though. And yes, I need rims really bad. I plan on rattle canning the rims gloss black and putting a beauty ring on them for now.

Seats

do the 4runner seats bolt right in? or did you have to fab something up?

 

I lucked out, mine bolt right in. All 4 holes (per seat) were there. I've heard that some don't just bolt in. You have to drill holes.

 

that's a great idea. 4wd fenders. Then i can lower the front even more.
