Ill get one one day, I want to get a TT and swap everything (brakes, rear end, engine, trans) over to a convertable one and swap all that to the TT one and sell the TT one which wouldnt be a tt one no more... dreams dreams lol

Or ill get a 350z and call it a day, I really like the 350z, wasnt into it at first but the sound, I hear it handles great, reliable, good power naturally aspirated, not many people that have them are enthusiasts so I think it would be cool to be one coming from z31s which not many z31 people have. The different generations dont like eachother much, s30 people think z31s are ugly, z31 people are too poor to own a nice s30, or any other Z, z32 people think its all that, z33 people dont even know what a z33, z32, z31, s130, s30 is.

Good luck on finding out whatever your doing with you truck

I think im going with the z31 engine. I have everything to do it so. pretty much free vs. I have to buy another engine, ecu, trans, driveshaft yoke, nother turbo.

You should go with the 1997 lexus lx450 engine, 4.5 liter inlines 6, OH YEAH.
I sold my z for 6500 down from the 8k i was asking for it, I'm starting to wonder about switching out engines really right now....
im thinking that i wanna do alot of cosmetic upgrades before i do engine work because the engine was just rebuilt...
i like the 350z my buddy has one and its pretty quick and sticks to the ground... right now im torn between the 370z and the new sti they are both great cars in their own way but i need the wifes permission before i go out and spend 30k+ anyways haha

Okay so quick question... does the 22r motor bolt right into the motor mounts of a 20r or how much fabrication would need to be done? i'd like something that i can slap a turbo on and still have a daily driver.
any ideas?

If you're talking about putting a 22r (pre-84) in your 76' - from what I know, it will bolt right in.

If memory serves it's pretty much the same block, just a different stroke and different head. So "mounting" shouldn't be all that different.

Unless of course your 22r is coming from a car rather than a truck, then the oil pan will be different.

When I was thinking about swapping my motor out I had actually thought abot running either an open ITB 20v or a 3SGTE just to stick in the 4 category.

Also check out a place called "The Retrofit Store" for HID goodies. I've talked to Matt a few times about HID's on the Skyline as well as moving the RN over to projector HID's, still deciding lol. But for all the things I needed including the projectors, shroud, harness etc he quoted me $350. And these aren't ebay HID's, these are baller lol.
