Okay so quick question... does the 22r motor bolt right into the motor mounts of a 20r or how much fabrication would need to be done? i'd like something that i can slap a turbo on and still have a daily driver.
any ideas? |

If you're talking about putting a 22r (pre-84) in your 76' - from what I know, it will bolt right in.
If memory serves it's pretty much the same block, just a different stroke and different head. So "mounting" shouldn't be all that different. Unless of course your 22r is coming from a car rather than a truck, then the oil pan will be different. Last edited by toy_boy; 02-13-2010 at 08:21 PM. |

When I was thinking about swapping my motor out I had actually thought abot running either an open ITB 20v or a 3SGTE just to stick in the 4 category.
Also check out a place called "The Retrofit Store" for HID goodies. I've talked to Matt a few times about HID's on the Skyline as well as moving the RN over to projector HID's, still deciding lol. But for all the things I needed including the projectors, shroud, harness etc he quoted me $350. And these aren't ebay HID's, these are baller lol.
