Tuhd, thanks for the pic and ya, I like the rims as well!

Funny thing about the pics. My wife and I were out at a bar - a buddy's band was playing. She sort of saw what I was doing, uploading pictures and posting them. She said " is that what your truck is supposed to look like?" We had drivven it to the bar, (she is not a big fan). In her defense, it always looks better in pics (and she wouldn't have recognized the background).

As for the rims, I wish they had the polished lips. The lips are painted. The plan is to strip and polish them and paint the centers this winter, when I have the snows on her.

Well got some use out of my air shocks. Bought a pop-up trailer. Correct vintage as well, an 83 for my 83! A little trouble seeing over/around it, but towed nice, other than that.

Not on instagram. ra21fred on 1st gen

    Thanks!

Haven't done much to her lately. Just been enjoying driving her. (My wife not so much being a passenger). Need to get something done to the underbody, as I plan to drive here in the winter, and snow and salt are just around the corner here.

Love your Lux, and thanks for the photos and story of your build. Ive got one the same year but its a long wheel base, They never came out in the short wheel base in Australia and they are ugly as sin. Im planing to convert it to a short wheel base, the chassis will have to be cut down 215 mm, which brings me to my question How long is the bed on your truck? The bed on Mine will have to be cut in two places once in front of the rear wheels to shorten 215mm and once behind the rear wheels. Im not sure how much to take out on the second cut. Would you mine running a tape measure from the front of bulkhead to the tail gate?
    Thanks

Hi again, I just went out to the wreckers to have a measure up and the bed on my new ride and it is 2260mm long. So around 395mm longer, which doesn't sound much but it makes a huge differences visually. Whats going on with the photo layout on this site? its all gone to hell!
