im considering putting a chevy 350 and turbo 350 tranny in my 93. i want speed and reliability at a decent price. i know people put this combo in these trucks but in 4x4s. what all is needed to do this swap? it needs to be carburated. i dont want to deal with computers.

first off it is easy. different manufactures sell the V8 convo for the toyota to be convo to a V8 and it aint pricey either. make sure you have the 1 wire ALT it makes it easy.

thanks for the info. the reason that i want to put a 350 in the yota is cause of a couple of reasons. 1 price vs. a supra or other yota engine. you can get a hell of a lot more power out of the 350 with a little bit of money. 2 parts are everywhere. and for the fact that i just love the way a 350 sounds with a good set of mufflers under it. im going to rebuild my 22re and buy another 89-94 but in a single cab. either a 4x4 or a 2wd to bag. havent made up my mind.
