hi, i have just joined to see what other people have done with their 81 - 83 hilux's

i bought my 83 hilux last week for $1000, just as a cheap work runabout, its a 18r-u on gas, drove it 2 hours home after the guy i bought it off said it hadnt been driven in nearly 5 years, it went well, an as all my cars, i have decided to give it a bit of a tidy up, .... an have once again gone a bit overboard, but oh well, its all part of the fun of driving it.

current pic, (how i bought it)

heres a pic of the ute when i first bought it home

so far i have just been rounding up parts, both doors and guards have rust in them, so tomorrow i am going to pickup 2 doors and 2 4wd front guards that i got of ebay for $150

an i attempted at putting a set of 17s that i had laying around on, they came of a skyline, fronts are 17x8, rears 17x10 2 piece rims, i managed to get one rear one on, an then broke my jack handle, so its on hold till tomorrow, il keep a record of my build up on here, will only be a quick build hopefully, as i said, its supposed to be a work hack, so its not going to be perfect, of overly low
