I just recently purchased a 92 regcab 5 speed 22re... Well I have a small problem - the odometer works but the speedo doesnt. Anyone have a suggestion as where to start looking? Is it the cluster or the sending unit from the tranny? Perhaps the plug is undone on the tranny? Im kinda puzzled on this. Please help.:(

Check the connection at the tranny first fairly easy to get to

Number six . Is we're I would start check to see if it has loosened up or if the nipple inside attached to the cable is broken .if its not that it's proably broken at the gauge cluster I haven't seen or herd of any cables breaking in the middle but could be possible

Oh ok. I see. Thanks for your help. I wonder if mine has a cable since it is a 92. I think they stop using cables in 91, but I could be wrong.

But would the odometer work even if speedo is broken? I thought they both recieved their reading from the same location / sensor / sending unit.

    Im really confused...
