Has anyone ever seen or have one, I have one but cant figure out what it came in originally. I have talkedto a lot of people and none have seen it before. It mounts in where the cubby goes up above the radio, the cubby comes out and it snaps right in. it is a Toyota factory part and fits perfect. I will try to get a picture up soon. Just curious what it came in,or what thanks guys
I have the digital clock in my 83, but I noticed I have the weird setup the radio is where the cubby would be and the clock is down on the bottom where the radio should be. the truck has the stock toyota radio in it. I will take a pic and post in a few days..
The digital clock is a Toyota Genuine Accessory item. It was available in the 1983 accessory catalog. In the '79-'81 base models, you could have gotten an analog clock where the tach would have gone. This was actually a parts catalog item. @ kzunell - I've seen that set up before where the digital clock with the fit kit is located in the radio opening and the radio is mounted above it. That was done on some 1983 models. BTW, is that radio the push button AM/FM with cassette? If so, then that is also an accessory item. Rick
Good info I always thought that the analog clock was a canadian only model. Wish i had one instead of the toyota emblem delete in the cluster
Yes, both the clock & radio are Toyota Genuine Accessories and are dealer add-ons. The radio from the factory would have been the AM/FM Muliplex or the Electronic version. Interesting note: the radio I have like yours in my collection is also missing the #5 button.
Well, some US models did get the clock. It is listed in the parts catalog, but is unavailable from the warehouse. I have also seen in a non-USA catalog that in the base model trucks for 1982-1983 had a small tach to the R side of the speedo. Too bad this part is also unavailable.
