can anyone post a clear photo of their dash? i need something for mine but dont know what it is. its a hole just left of the cigarette lighter. thanks in advance.
post a pic of your dash lol that would help !.. your not interested in selling or trading your truck are you ?
i dont have my camera cord and my cell takes really bad pics. maybe tomorrow. and as long as my head stays above water, i wont be selling my toyotas
nothing in the 20r/22r trucks .. just a plug . in other countries , and here in Canada , the 2WD's diesels had a manual choke/throttle control cable there .
if anyone needs this plug i had been looking for to fill this hole, lowe's has them in the hardware section in the "hard to find" drawer.
Here is the throttle pull and lock in my 83 diesel. It works by pulling out and then twisting the knob clockwise which locks it in place and keeps the engine at whatever rpm.
The trucks that were automatic transmission had their overdrive switch mounted here. In the diesel motor, there would be a switch for idle up. And in the non-USA models, there would be a switch here for the fog lights.
This might be one of the reasons that the diesels (all seem to have the throttle up) were never offered with an automatic in the 79-83 models in the US.
