My 1978 4 speed long bed seems to be a gutless wonder. It only has 70k on the original engine yet it can barely get up to 70 on the freeway and it only gets around 18 to 20 mpg. Is this normal? I have also done a complete tune up besides rebuilding the carb. Would a carburetor rebuild help very much if any?? Thanks, Tanner
your truck is a gem.. but you can't expect to get much above 65 without a W55 swap or JATO assist. I've been looking into getting myself above the 65 mark but just can't seem to gather the courage to take a stock part out of her.
