Just Found out my ring and pinion is bad... Where can i get the parts for it.??
Wanna rebuild the whole thing if possible?? .. Or can i do a swap from a newer year?? .. Mine is a 70 hilux with a 18R-C engine..4speed..
Somebody point to the right direction?? Cause there are no parts out there for these trucks..

i think pretty much any toyota 3rd member should drop right in...im not 100% if there are any different spine count for the axles, but you should be able to go to a junkyard and pickup a third member out of any of the older pickups and drop it right in..

 

Yep Thats what i did ... I Got a third member out of my neighbors ol 82 4X4 .. Shouldve taken the whole thing since hes got a whole new housing and gears..And this was just laying around..Its got 3:90 gearing i think bit taller..But Works Bitchen..

so what did you do?? i havea 71 and it is a 410 rear and my 4x4 82 will swap in but if you are goiing to run a five speed you want the standard rear from a 2wd they are 390 or 350 better gearing for milage
