Well here it is, finally got around to taking pictures. Owned the truck now for about a month or so and just getting started on it. So here is the beginning. 1990 Std. cab, 22r 4spd, no p/s, p/dl, p/w, or a/c. Lowered 4" in front with "re-splined" torsion bars, lowered 5" in rear with 3"blocks and 2"leafs, and rolling on 17" Ford Escape rims. Front end has been swapped with a 94 4runner grille and headlights but the guy who installed them didn't do it correctly and only used zip-ties to hold it in place. The paint is rattle can pistachio but that won't be there for long hopefully. Bucket seats from I have no idea, and a crappy built center console sub box. When I got it, the interior was white and pistachio green. Now its re-dyed black with just a touch of primer. So lets address the body issues I need to fix before any major mods are done: Tailgate: Right rear bed: Right bed side: Passenger side cab corner: Front end: Driver side lower door: Left bed side: Between cab and bed: Needed to fix asap: Exhaust. Someone cut off and installed CherryBomb muffler under cab Adjust valves Swap to sail mount mirrors Replace engine and trans mounts So far the custom plans are: 22re conversion or 1jz swap if affordable. Bagged Cando reverse 4-link 8" Rounded c-notch Body dropped to rockers Roll pan skin Taillights filled and different lights molded in One piece rear window '00 Taco front end 20" rims 4runner center console 4runner/celica seats Aftermarket steering wheel Fully functional bed floor so I can carry my quad!
They painted over all the trim & seals. Looks like you got a long road ahead of you. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
Its a Yoshi! Its in need of some body work for sure. for the bed and tailgate I would just replace it with another one.
holy begezus, hopefully you didn't pay to much for it. you have a fair amount of work ahead of you. LETS SEE SOME PICKS FROM UNDER THE HOOD...........
Well, under the green is flat black, under that is flat white, under that is OEM red. HAHAHA. I didn't pay anything for it. Took my 92 camry with 245k on it, traded straight across and then took my coilovers, wheels, brakes, and various other performance parts from the camry and sold it, came out on top $1000 so i could pay some bills. Plenty of work ahead, but nothing I can't handle.
