I guess I'll start up a build thread of my own truck, ain't nothing too fancy
I think I'll just dub this, "Project Stance". We need a little more coverage of 808 trucks anyway haha.

Bought it back in August 2011 for 500 bucks from an old guy in town.

At the time, it only had 50,XXX miles, cold A/C, 5-Speed, no leaks, immaculate interior (like as if it just came out of the factory), all virgin. The only downside was the exterior. It was only surface rust but it was a bitch to get rid of.

Couple weeks after, I brought it down to my friend's shop to do the body work and paint.

During the bodywork and paint, I picked up some chrome parts for the truck since the front bumper&valance were pretty bad. The color is a mix of 3 different whites btw, Snow White, Champ White, and another white but I forgot the name. Pretty dope in person.

I post up the rest of the progress after work...stay tuned!

Thanks everyone for the support! Back to the build...

Less than a week out of the paint shop, I dropped the rear with 4" DJM angled blocks and attempted to torsion the front.

Since the truck was practically virgin and sitting for 2 years, the torsion nuts were frozen so I soaked them in some heavy duty break away spray for the rest of the week then took it to my other friend's shop to finish the drop.

Picked up a set of S-Runners and a rear Tacoma bumper along the way also and ran this set up for about 2 months.

At the end of Janurary, I picked up a set of Work Miester S1s from a guy in town for dirt cheap with tires mounted and everything. Slapped those bad boys on and decided to drop the truck more by pulling the middle leaf, flipping the bottom leaf, shaved down my bump stops, and installed some new drop shocks from Belltech.

Just a mini update, forgot to mention the exhaust job I did couple weeks back.

Picked up these Pace Setter headers from a friend for cheap and I know why.
It's alright for the money I paid for and I did notice some improvement in power and sound. The only thing I hate is how it isn't ceramic-coated so pretty much all the black paint flaked off and left some ugly stuff on top.

Got my exhaust done by a friend from Exhaust Systems Hawaii. Hooked the headers up to some 2.25" pipe into the stock resonator then into Flowmaster super 44s with a single out 3" bologna cut tip.

I got something else in-store for my exhaust before Hellaflush. Hint: Boso :waytogo:

Now up to date, here's a pic of the 3" drop leafs and 2" drop spindles from beltech:

Gonna bolt these all on one time alongside with the 3" DJM lower control arms and extended ARP wheel studs.
