My new daily, it cost me the price of 2 bottles of decent scotch. Name change registration insurance all sorted for a 3rd bottle. It is a little damaged from a constantly drunk driver but thats ok. I named her Julie. Here in Aus, US call these crew cabs, we call them dual cabs - hence the name.

    22R G52 5Spd 307,000kms on 14's.

I will keep my plans secret for a while

They are not offered in the US. Only Canada, Japan and Australia.

I would kill for one of those stake beds, just like on the volks taro. Looks like it'll be a pretty awesome build man.

I actually have no need for it. I want more room.

I work in a scrap dealership and for once the boss actually decided to drive to work. Everyone at work got to drive it for 30 minutes around town. It is his new racecar for the ARC.

They are literally everywhere here. A rough cost is A$10,000 to get one good one (or two cheap ones) across the pond

The first generation dual cabs sold here was in 1979 and I say toyota as the body was originally planned for the stout, because basically the first of 4wd hilux were a 4wd version of the stout. The first two generations of the hilux were not designed or built by toyota, apart from toyota drivetrain were hino and as sales of the stout had finished in some countries the four wheel drive version of the rk110 was sold as as a 4wd hilux.

I am yet to see a numbers matching 79 Dual Cab but I have both the 82 and the 83. My other 83 is currently on a ship to the states to the new owner who is planning a lexus conversion.

Ok so the first model dual cab sold in Australia was the LN46R-KRPQ 8/1981-7/1983 "Australian spec", there are a few general market models in lhd and rhd that started 1/1979 that were not built to individual countries standards and going by parts lists there were no dual cab hilux pre 1979

Wouldn't happen to know the Vin of the earliest? The earliest I have seen was 2/79 and it is still a one owner. Earliest dual was a 5/81 and I saw it crushed before I could buy it. I was able to get the Vin plate and the Chassis so I could rebuild it.

It was an equal value parts trade.
