New to mini trucks heres my 89 2wd pickup.

Balljoint flip
Drop spindles
Torsion rekey
4" rear blocks

Plans are
1uz
Coilovers all around
Mustand 8.8 rear
Parallel 4 link with a watts out back
Convert the fronts to 4 lug eventually for cooler 15" wheel selection

Heres a pic for now. Its before i rekeyed the torsions. More pics to come this weekend.

 

hmmmm... I'd think a little more about this one. It seems to me there are more 5 lug styles than 4. Maybe you're thinking of 5X100 vs. 5X114.3?

 

Finger is in shot. Hahaha. Nice truck though. I'd stick with the 5x114.3 though.

 

Good start on ur mini bro. And yea your better off with the 5 lug, unless your looking to go with honda wheels

 

5 lug is going eventually. Way cooler and easier to find 4x114.3 old school japanese wheels that are 15xwide and deep lol. No honda wheels here.

I honestly love the hell out of my stockies. In fact I'm putting them back on cuz I repainted them and they are getting some new rubber to wrap around them. Love the truck by the way I like the stance.

 

got some minor stuff done today. installed california mirrors, crappy bed flare job. got the wheels on. finally washed it after a year.

gotta figure out why the driver side rear sits higher than the passenger side. really bugging me.

You are gonna love the 1uz in the pickup. I highly advise that you spend the extra cash for a 5 speed conversion kit. It's worth every penny in hp gain over automatic and wiring is is much simpler. Makes it very fun to drive too.

 

5x114.3 > 4x anything.

thanks guys. uz is staying on the back burner for now. gonna drop my jz in that i've been putting back together lately. just a little annoyed now because i can't find or remember where i put the damn hardware to get the intake mani back on. once i get my igniter, coil packs, map and tps sensor back, i'm gonna start work on making the harness.

just found out my friend has a tube bender and some tubing. hopefully get the coilover situation sorted soon. lookin at adapting ls400 coilovers or miata coilovers and probably some helper bags out back if i decide to haul stuff.
