So as you all my or may not know, I am the new owner of rajzswap's 1989 2jz swap t67 single turbo. I have just started to improve upon what he has already done. I have just ordered new QA1 front shocks, SAW 25mm Torsion bars, New TN 650 T66 water cooled turbo, Driftmotion.com's exhaust manifold, and HKS style 50mm Wastegate. I will post pics of the build as I get the parts and install the parts.

I do what to also change the steering from steering box to rack and pinion. With that said I do know another TM user has done it with going without power steering. That is something I want to keep. I was thinking of using one of the rack and pinions out of a 1996 tacoma but I can not find the length of if anywere. So any help there will be much appreciated!

Rip out the stock evidence and get an aem ems v2, and bigger injectors if ya wanna make big HP. What trans is in the truck?

Edit: when you say hks style wastegate you mean a knock off right? I've heard bad stories of boost cheap on those. Go to supraforums.com and clubna-t.com to search for good used parts for decent prices

I am going for moderate power for now. I will be upgrading the injectors from the 440cc to at least the 550cc. It has the R154 trans is it as well. I will be slowly replacing the cheap with good quality. The turbo is going out on me and the exhaust manifold is cracked as well thats why I bought new better parts there. But those parts I expected to go bad because they were just ebay parts. I want to put 264 cams in it as well but that will be later down the road once congress decided the budget so I can get paid.

I got the HAL Stocker Star R-Series Single Adjustable RC19114P 12 way Adjustable T-Bar mount

They are getting discontinued tho. I had to search pretty hard to find a site that still had 2 in stock. I ordered mine from performanceparts.com

550 in not really a big jump, i would step up to 650's at least. The stock turbo computer gets pissed when you start messing with injector sizing, and instead of wasting your money on piggy back computers i would step up to the aem stand alone and save yourself money in the long run. The r154's are good to 500-600hp then they go pop. you can do upgrades to the trans that will get you into the 750-900 range. You dont need to upgrade cams, the stock turbo cams work great and the aftermarket ones are really for high speed/high performance cars, there are better mods you can do before you will need cams.

    good luck with the build.

I already have a piggy back and will use it temporarily until I can get a stand alone. I was looking at getting the 680cc from driftmothion.com and I am just looking for the power to be around 550hp at the most but I would like to make the tran stronger so what would you recommend for the r154? And what other mods would you recommend??

I ordered them from autopartsdealer.com but they have been a pain to be honest. I was suppose to get them like 2 weeks ago and had to call them to figure out what was going on. With tax and they had free shipping it cost me $207. I would use this site if I were to do it again.

So I got my new turbo, exhaust manifold and wastegate. Do just want to mention that the turbo I had ordered is not the one I received. Instead I got the GTK 650 BB watercooled (~$1800). What I had ordered was the TN 650 no BB watercooled(~$806). They somehow messed up my order so I got the GTK turbo for $1000 off the listed price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
