Ok so here's a new truck me an my brother are workin on. It's my best friends truck tht he's had for like 4-5 years sitting the same way he got it. It's a 86 reg cab bagged an bodied with a rx7 IRS on 18s. Fully shaved with a rebuilt 22r with an aluminum oil pan or it's just chromed. He bought it from a guy in AZ an trailered it to Cali. I was actually gonna buy the truck from him for 1000$ but he got a job so now he wants to get it done

 

its a good start. needs a lot of work though. Just hope he doesnt run outta funds to finish this.

Ya needs alot of work but he's working construction right now an is makin close to 600 or more a week. Rear bags need to be redone cuz they rub like noones business

It is clean as hell. It has a 89-95 4wd front end too. He doesn't have Internet an doesn't know much about trucks but I've been teachin him all I know and stuff like tht I'll tell him to join

 

Believe me there is alot of poeple on here including my self that didnt no alot but from being on here we sure learned alot.

 

He's hella shy though so I'm sure he wouldn't even ask lol but when we work on it he's right there asking questions so thts good

Ya we went to picknpull today an I made him take off the brake lines tht he needed cause I was busy haha.

 

How is the IRS connected to the frame?

 

See where the tape measure and wire nut is? There are 2 bolts there an on the side by the first set of bed mounts there are 2 others that connect to the IRS an frame

 

Oh ok, i see them now. The front set by the bed mounts, i thought those were for the bags, got it now. Wow fairly simple setup. When i first looked at it, i was like how the hell does it not move around. Nice man. I like IRS my truck now.

 

Thts the setup I'm gonna go with now looks so nice but I'll have the bags on a cantilever probably I'm not sure yet though.

 

Any updates on this? I am getting all the **** figured out to run irs on my 75.

 

Not yet my buddy was Looking for a new wiring harness previous owner literally unwrapped the orignal one an had wires cut so he just got his new one an it should be getting some updates shortly as the new one goes in. Him an I started the bodywork on the bed last weekend
