There is a lot of back ground on my truck, so i'm gonna try to just post the readers digest version.

Saw this truck in a guys driveway. Left a note, he called I bought it. Paid too much, but I LOVE old minis. I told him I was going to "restore" it... yeah right.

Its a 71 with 140k~ish on the clock. I think it has a head off of a different engine to acheive more compression. Per the previous owner.

I didn't think it would end up the way it is. My plan was to lower it stationary, and maybe flip it for bagged something.
I could never strike up the right deal so I decided to dump some cash into it.

Wheels are custom offset 17x7 centerline boulevards. Satin finish on the center.
I replaced the cassette deck with a Kenwood iPod adaptable radio. The interior is immaculate. the headliner is sagging a smidge, and the dash has a "dashmat" covering a bad re-covering of the OEM one. Otherwise, its fairly mint.
It also has a aftermarket underdash AC setup. I plan to one day put a compressor on it and get it working... but I probably never will.

The paint is stock, and faded, nice patina for the look i've choosen. It had some Toyota passenger car wheels on it with brand new white walls.. they're stacked up in my back yard.
It was a california truck so rust is minimal I've found a little under the floorboards. I've thrown some POR15 on it, but i'm still concerned with where the water is coming from.

Anyway, feel free to ask questions. Its farily obvious what i've changed and whats stock. :)

My new plan is for it to lay out on 17's kind of a old skool miltary truck look.
SO far only the back is done, but I came here looking for suggestions on the front.
Here is how it looks now.

I guess i'm gonna stop updating the ball joint thread... :dunno:

Still just the drivers side done, but other than a little accumulator work and eventually (see: never ) adding tubs to the front, the drivers side is done.
